Meet our Director : Harriet D’Alessio

With degrees in Business and Psychology, I have always had a keen interest in people in the work environment, and it was soon after moving to the South West in 1998 when my passion for HR and recruitment was ignited.

Early in my career, I was fortunate enough to join a leading European Business Psychology Consultancy where I spent a number of years supporting businesses across the UK and Europe, assisting their HR teams in selecting the right people into their organisations.  I trained in a number of behavioural and skills profiling tools and worked on a variety of large-scale recruitment programmes for a wide-ranging client base.

From here I progressed to specialise in recruiting HR professionals across the South West; working within both large international and independently owned specialist recruitment agencies, as well as spending time as a key member of an award winning in-house recruitment team.

In 2015 my dream was realised and High Potential HR was born.  My years of experience have taught me that great recruitment comes from getting to know people as unique individuals, building long-term relationships, and placing people at the centre of all that you do.  Founding High Potential HR has allowed me to offer a highly professional HR recruitment experience, without compromising these beliefs.

Over the years, as industry specialist for the South West, I’ve worked with HR professionals across the region and have successfully managed the hires of a wide remit of HR, Learning and Development and Talent Acquisition professionals at all levels using a variety of recruitment techniques.  My unique combination of business psychology and HR recruitment experience means I am able to offer a great deal of insight and value when bringing HR professionals together into new roles.

Outside of work you’ll find me indulging in my love of the great outdoors – long distance walking, trail running, kayaking – basically anything that involves me being outside in the fresh air, no matter what the British weather throws at me!  Most recently I’ve successfully competed in a number of Ultra Marathon Endurance Challenges across the UK, getting very wet and muddy in the process!
